Global Schoolwear is looking for a results-driven, hands-on leader to join the Downers Grove, IL location as a Warehouse Manager to support our online Tommy Hilfiger school uniform business. The primary function of this position will be to provide leadership and oversee shipping and receiving operations, maintain inventory, and focus on warehouse safety and quality control. This person will work hand-in-hand with our Value-Added-Services Manager and report to the Head of Distribution.
Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s vision
Oversee receiving, shipping, inventory management aspects of distribution center
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures
Help integrate and train the warehouse staff on WMS platform
Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
Manage stock control and reconcile with WMS platform
Liaise with suppliers and transport companies
Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate full-time and seasonal employees
Produce reports and statistics regularly (WMS platform)
Execute daily stock replenishment movements real-time in WMS (Stock transfers)
Overseeing stock location placement and put-away methodology in WMS (directed put-away by type, velocity, etc)
Improve and enforce shipping & receiving programs
Ensure outbound shipment requests are executed in a timely manner for the supply chain and manufacturing teams
Ensure accurate receiving and put away procedures are followed for inbound shipments
Oversee teams of order handlers to pull correct product for production team in a timely and efficient manner (production replenishment)
Manage team to comply with all productivity and time standards for warehouse function to ensure efficiencies are met
Set & enforce productivity standards
Demonstrated ability in Operations/Warehouse Management work and process improvement is essential
Must exhibit strong data analysis and decision making capabilities
Self-starter with ability to drive improvements in operational processes
Able to communicate effectively with others and establish credibility
Schedule flexibility during peak season (July through mid-September)
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Set aggressive targets and meets them in a challenging and complex environment
Picks up knowledge quickly, strong leadership, highly reliable and positive attitude
Ability to motivate, energize and influence others
Microsoft Office proficiency a must (Outlook, Excel)

BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration, preferred
Schedule: M-F day shift, 40+ hours/week (Evening and weekend hours should be expected during peak season)
